total of 8 hours a week.  How much money will she receive if she
babysits for 3 weeks?

A =  $12.00 x 3(8)
A =  $12.00 x 24

If George can do 30 jumping jacks in 1 minute, how many
jumping jacks can he do in 6 minutes?
A = R x T
A =  30 x 1
A =  30 x 6 (1)
A = 180 jumping jacks
Marta makes $1750 a month.  She pays $600 for a month's rent,
$250 for car insurance, and 200 for food.  How much does she
have left each month after paying for rent?

$1,750 - $600 = $1,150 left over

Marvin delivered a total of 162 newspapers on Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday.  Also, he delivered 64 newspapers on Tuesday and 35 newspapers on Thursday. How many newspapers did Marvin deliver altogether
