Parts of a Right Triangle
The following definitions will help you identify the parts of a triangle. 

The adjacent side is the side next to the angle. 

The opposite side is the side opposite of the angle.

The hypotenuse is the side side directly across from the right angle. 
Finding Values
You can find the tangent, sine, and cosine using either a scientific calculator or the
Trigonometric Ratio Table

To find the measure of an angle using a table, match the angle with the value in the tangent, sine, or cosine category. 

To find the measure of an angle using a calculator, enter the number followed by either the key for tan, sin, or cos. 
Example 4:  Two triangles of  different sizes with the same tangent angles will have the same solution.
